The Rent Event – Landlord Academy

Now in the fifth year, the Ray White Rent Event has become a significant part of our annual property management calendar – and you are welcome to join us.

Our 2020 event takes on its new form as the Landlord Academy Series, designed to upskill landlords through a series of free weekly online sessions hosted every Thursday evening throughout November – all for you to enjoy from the comfort of home.

What’s it all about?
The Landlord Academy Series is about one thing and one thing only – free education and support for all New Zealand landlords, whether you are an existing client of ours or not.

Over the next six months, landlords will face some of the biggest reforms of the rental industry they have ever seen. There will be almost 100 new rules and requirements implemented to the Residential Tenancy Act – all of which will have a big impact on a landlord’s responsibilities and the way they must operate.

Simply register to join, watch, and participate in your free Landlord Academy education series!

As landlords’ legislative requirements continue to increase so too does the risk of potential fines that are possible – and these fines are becoming more and more significant as each new change comes into force.

The first step towards removing your risk and meeting compliance is through education and understanding – and that’s where we are here to help.

Across New Zealand we manage more than 19,000 properties with an asset value of over $12 billion – it’s our job to know what’s coming and to help prepare our landlords for change.
The way we see it, if we can help provide free education and tools to help landlords manage this change, then not only is your risk removed but your tenants also see better outcomes themselves – it’s a win-win for everyone!

The Landlord Academy Series will be presented by Zac Snelling, our New Zealand Head of Property Management, alongside a unique VIP guest each week with specific experience in the residential tenancy space.

We’ve chosen to predominantly focus the series on two of the biggest changes impacting landlords right now, being the upcoming Healthy Homes Standards and the hugely significant RTA Amendments Act 2020 – see more below.

The series is broken down into bite-sized sessions designed to tell you everything you need to know, and help point you in the direction to find out more.
